E-RYT 500, YACEP®, MA, Owner

Shannon started her career path as a Clinical Counselor after she received her MA in 2008. During her MA program, she was the team director of a competitive gymnastics program. In her youth, Shannon trained in artistic and acrobatic gymnastics. When she discovered yoga in 2005, it was the perfect balance of the mental work she enjoyed in Psychology and the physical movement of the body that she loved in gymnastics. Shannon completed her 200 Hour Teacher Training with Yax Yoga Concepts in Virginia Beach, VA in 2013 and has been teaching ever since. She received her 300 Hour Teacher Training with Beyond Bryce in Koh Samui, Thailand in 2018. Her teachers during her 300 hour training included Dice Iida-Klein, Briohny Smith, Honza Lafond, Claudine Lafond, and Mathieu Boldron. She strongly believes in the connection between mind, body, and soul, and this reflects in her Vinyasa style teaching. She loves the constant movement of the body in Vinyasa and feels that it helps us to find strength within and bring awareness into the present moment. Although arm balances and inversions are offered in her classes, modifications are always provided to make practitioners of every level comfortable during their practice.

Andrea was born and raised in Northern Nevada and now lives and teaches in South Lake Tahoe, CA and Stateline, NV. Her long journey to yoga started almost 20 years ago. As an avid runner since the age of 12, Andrea struggled for years with injuries caused by the constant impact to her bones and joints. After several years of no yoga, or stretching of any kind, she finally "found" yoga again, and she hasn't looked back since. Andrea believes yoga is a valuable tool that can heal the mind and the body. With her practice, she has developed an awareness of her own body that she believes is essential to living a long and healthy life.
Andrea completed her first 200hr teacher training in the summer of 2014, and began teaching the day she graduated. Since then, she has  also completed her RYT500 and several smaller trainings. Andrea likes her teaching to represent many styles of yoga. She teaches anything from gentle and restorative, to beginners, to several types of flow. She likes to stay open and learn from all styles of Yoga.

Candace started her Yoga journey in 2003 as a student and fell in love with it. Candace has practiced Vinyasa Flow for 15 years and has since discovered Hatha Yoga, which is now a passion of hers. The benefits of Hatha Yoga allowed Candace to improve in her own practice, gain strength, heal injuries, and discover a calmness and clarity that she loves to share in her classes. She studied under Johann Kotze in and completed her 200 hour Yoga teacher training in Muizenberg, Cape Town South Africa before emigrating back the United States where she was born. Candace also has an extensive dance and fitness background that has helped her learn to observe her students and ensure that they have the correct technique and movement. Candace started teaching Yoga specifically in 2016 and has since qualified with additional restorative Yoga as well as Hatha Yoga and flow classes.
